Gluttonous Baby

I am in the market for a baby doll for Aubrey. I came across this particular doll that comes with a little halter top for a young girl to wear and teaches them to breastfeed. The doll makes sucking noises and cries to alert that she is hungry. Someday in the FAR FAR future I want Aubrey to breastfeed her children. At the ripe age of 18 months she is clearly too young for this doll, but what about when she is 5ish? Maybe it isn't very age appropriate... I never had a doll to tech me and I seemed to have figured it out. Read the article and watch the clip http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,537261,00.html?test=latestnews
What are your thoughts on this controversial doll?

WHat?!? That is crazy! I can't believe there is a doll that teaches little girls to breast feed. Little girls don't even have breasts. Thats just bazaar.

WOW!! Interesting. Not something I would get for my child. Although I'm sure there are moms out there that think this is the most brilliant idea yet! I'm 100% for nursing, just not so into this.

Hahaha, I think that Aubrey would LOVE it. Can't you see her walking around speaking gibberish to her dolly and then breast feeding it. Sounds like a great toy. LOL

What a Joke! What little girl would want to pretend shes breastfeeding anyway?

Oh my, that doll is very disturbing to me. Especially the halter top part. Please just get her a Water Baby instead.

That is crazy!! The first doll we got Brooklyn was the by fisher-price's little mommy collection. She likes the smell of them.

Don't know what happened w/ my last comment, anyway, I saw it on the news. That is sooooo CREEPY! Funny story though, Tay was trying to breastfeed her regular baby the other day. She does it now b/c she sees me breastfeeding Crew! :) Still I'd NEVER get her a breastfeeding doll!!

Breanne! We miss you guys too! I am working on making a twin quilt for Soy...I will let you know how it goes. I gave up potty training -- it got worse when I got to Idaho....it was way hard but Soy is back in diapers. I am trying to delete that part of my memory....thinking about doing it again makes me want to spoon my eyes out! But good luck with potty training if you decide to do it! Ü Don't call me obviously!
